H1N1 Influenza Virus Pandemic Records

The first major infection on humans of the H1N1 influenza virus came in 1918 in what is now known as the Spanish Flu. This pandemic is one of the deadliest in history with deaths reaching up to a hundred million. This virus invaded the lungs which later trigger an overreaction of the immune system and causing death in the long run. Due to the circumstances at that time when the First World War was still going on, the Spanish Flu pandemic was largely unnoticed but the damages it caused is undeniable.
